DEFINITION Sets the size, font, and color of text. |
SUGGESTED STYLE/USAGE Avoid making extreme font changes; they can make a document difficult to read. The color attribute is not widely supported. Do not rely on it. None of the browsers that support <FONT> allow their users to disable it. You can disable body colors, however. If you change font colors using <FONT COLOR> and a visitor to your page has overridden your body colors, your text may look ugly or be invisible in the browser. Do not use the <FONT> tag to emulate headers. Indexers rely on the six header elements to generate an overview of a document. |
