Open PowerPoint |

Select View > Toolbars > Control Toolbox and make sure it has a Check next to it. This will open the ActiveX Control toolbar.

At the bottom of the Control Toolbox there is an "More Controls" icon.

Click the More Controls icon to open the list of ActiveX controls installed on your computer. |

Select the "Shockwave Flash Object" from the list of controls :

Selecting the Shockwave Flash Object from the list of controls will change your cursor to a crosshair. Move the cursor over the place you want the animation to show. Click and drag to define the area/size you want your Flash animation to be.
NOTE : Flash animations can be resized without distortion. Your Flash animation can be as big or as small as you wish.

After creating the area to play your Flash animation, right-click it and select "Properties" from the pop-up to open the Flash object control properties.
Click the little "..." button to the right of (Custom) . This opens the Page Properties dialog.

In the Property Pages dialog enter the FULL path or FULL URL to the Flash animation ( .SWF file) you want to use. It's very important to enter the FULL path to the Flash file or it will not work.
Be sure to also click the Embed Movie box so your viewers will not have any problems viewing your masterpiece of a presentation.
Example on finding your FULL Path :
Find the Flash animation on your computer and right-click it, select properties, then copy and paste the location into the Movie URL box like shown in the example below.
Your location may look something like this : C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Pictures\diagram028aa.swf
Make sure you include the image name (diagram028aa.swf) after the URL/location, like the example above.

Click OK in the Property Pages dialog. Now view the slideshow ( Slide Show / View Show). The Flash animation will play just as it does in the Flash player.
