Create a new image the size you want to (I usually use 640x480 pixels, It leaves me lots of room to work with.). Then create a new layer (This layer will be named layer 1 by default but you can change its name at anytime. To do so just click on the arrow at the top of the layer box and click on layer options.) You can rename this layer corner 1.
Now select the elliptical marquee tool and create a perfect circle. To do so just click in your window, drag and hold shift (make your circle a small size.). Then fill it with any color (I choosed black for this example).
Now duplicate layer corner 1, to do so just click and drag your layer over the create a new layer icon at the bottom of the layer box. You .can name layer corner 1 copy to corner 2.
Then select the move tool and move your layer corner 2 over to the right of layer corner 1. To move the layer corner 2 straight just click on your circle, hold shift and drag it where you want your second corner to be. Repeat step 3 and 4 to create your third corner, name it corner 3.
For the last corner I'm going to do it a little differently. Duplicate layer corner 3 (name it corner 4) and layer corner 1 (name it corner five). Select the move tool, move layer corner 4 below layer corner 1 and move layer corner 5 straight down aside of layer corner 3. Then move them with the keyboard arrows until the two circles are over each other and just delete layer corner 5 (to do so just drag your layer on the delete layer icon at the bottom of the layer box just right to the Create a new layer icon).
Now that you have your four corners, create a new layer and name it body. Select the rectangular marquee tool and create a rectangle as shown in the example. Then fill it with any color (you should choosed the same color you used for the circles).
Select the top piece of your rectangle and press ctrl X to cut it. Do the same for the bottom piece.
Now create a new layer and name it body 1. Select the rectangle marquee tool and create another rectangle as shown in the example. Fill it and repeat step 7.
Now link all your layer (except the background). To do so just click on the emty box located at the right of the layer visibility icon and press ctrl E to merged the linked layers down. | |
