Can I use images on products I sell for profit?

Yes! You can use images from Graphics Factory on items you make and sell like books, t-shirts, greeting cards, web sites, games, logos, iPhone apps, and just about anything else you can think of. The only restriction is your product can not sell or bundle our images as "images" for other people to use as in a image library and you must keep an active membership. As long as you use the images for illustrational purposes your usage is covered under your Graphics Factory usage license.

We do ask that you provide a copyright notice to Graphics Factory.com when the images are used in books, greeting cards, and on web site templates. For additional licensing information view our usage rights page.

Can I continue to use the images after my membership expires?

Yes, but it depends on how you use the images. You can continue to use the images you download forever without having to pay any additional money if you do not use the images on items for re-sale (read our usage rights for details). Although you can use the images you download if your membership expires for most uses, it's a good idea to keep your membership active in order to gain access to our newest images, which are added on a monthly basis.

You simply pay one fee and download all the images you need! Join today and start downloading now.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Easy, login to your account and go to the dashboard. Once on the dashboard you will see a My Subscription link. Click that link to cancel your subscription.

After you cancel your subscription your usage license will end according to the Graphics Factory usage rights.

What does "Royalty-Free" mean?

All clip art usage is governed by the terms of individual copyrights and usage rights. The copyright and usage rights of a clip art image are important to understand so that the image is used in a legal, permitted way. The most common usage today is royalty-free.

Royalty-Free does not mean FREE

Most commercial clip art is sold with a limited royalty-free license which allows customers to use the image for most personal, educational and non-profit applications. Some royalty-free clip art also includes limited commercial rights (the right to use images in for-profit products). However, royalty free image rights often vary from vendor to vendor. Graphics Factory provides royalty-free commercial usage rights as long as your product doesn't compete against Graphics Factory, such as providing images for people to use.

Public domain images

Public domain images continue to be one of the most popular types of clip art because the image rights are free. However, many images are erroneously described as part of the public domain are actually copyrighted, and thus illegal to use without proper permissions.

The popularity of the Web has facilitated widespread copying of pirated clip art which is then sold or given away as "free clip art". The reality is that most clip art touted as "free" is actually illegally distributed. Virtually all images published after January 1, 1923 still enjoy copyright protection under the federal laws of most countries. Images published prior to 1923 need to be carefully researched to make sure they are in the public domain.

Does the clip art come in high-resolution for printing?

Yes! We provide the vector (.EPS, .SVG, .PDF or .WMF) version for our clip art images that are made mainly for printing. You can enlarge vector images to any size needed and the image will stay crisp and clear.

What is a vector clip art image?

Vector clip art images are editable images that can scale to any size without getting distorted. They're an excellent file format for clip art because they are normally small in file size, can scale to any size needed, print excellent, are easy to change colors on images, the lines can be changed as needed, the curves can be changed as needed, everything can easily be changed on vector files.

The only bad part I guess would be the special software you need to edit vector art. We user Adobe Illustrator at Graphics Factory, but Corel Draw will work too.

Popular vector clip art formats at Graphics Factory are .EPS, .SVG and .WMF.

I downloaded my image but can't find it. Where did it go?

When you download images it will ask you the location where you want to download them to. Usually they will save to the same location you used last time you downloaded something. Just make a note of the location you select while downloading and you will not have any problem finding them.

Can I suggest new images or have custom clip art made?

Yes, we have a suggestion box and use your suggestions all the time for adding new content. Just contact us about the image you need and we will add it to our list for new additions.

Can I modify the images?

Yes, absolutely you can modify the images as you desire. That's why we provide the vector versions of these images, so you can modify them and make them work as you need to.

Can I use images in logos?

Yes, we have tons of images that will work excellent for logos. We do recommend you modify the images slightly to give them a unique look that can be trademarked. If you use an image from our site without changing it you may see it used in other places by someone else. So to keep your logo designs unique just modify the clip art to fit the theme of the logo.
